Traditionally, when people in the business world thought about the Americans with Disabilities Act (or the “ADA”) and accessibility, they have thought about things like handicapped parking spaces and wheelchair ramps. That has changed in recent years, as the issue of website accessibility – or whether a site can be used by people who are blind – has gotten more attention.
This eBook provides an overview of the ADA, describes some of the lawsuits and regulatory actions in this space, and then discusses what companies can do to reduce their risks.
Gonzalo Mon is a partner in Kelley Drye’s advertising law group, where he counsels clients on all aspects of marketing their brands. In addition to counseling, Gonzalo helps clients draft and negotiate many of the agreements that underlie their marketing campaigns. He also advises companies about how the ADA applies in the digital space.
